Australian Resources for Children’s and Family Ministry

The Resource Centre for Children’s and Family Ministry is a joint venture of the South Australian Synod of the Uniting Church of Australia and the Parafield Gardens Uniting Church (Adelaide, South Australia) to resource people in congregations who work with children and their families.  RCCFM have developed a range of materials for all-age worship, family ministry and children’s ministry.  They also produce a monthly newsletter “What’s Up?” that is emailed to those who wish to receive it.

One resource that I recommend for those exploring the involvement of children in worship is Help! There’s a child in my church.  The resource looks at various issues relating to children’s involvement, explores children’s involvement from the perspective of multiple intelligences, gives practical suggestions for helpful practices, and discusses different possibilities for the active participation of children in worship.
